Current Contribution Status
Caribbean Code is currently being developed as an educational initiative and is not yet recognized as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Financial contributions are not currently tax-deductible, and Caribbean Code is not offering fixed donation packages or direct payment checkout at this time.
People or organizations interested in helping should contact Caribbean Code first so an appropriate support process can be discussed after legal status and program needs are clearer.

Answers for students, parents and guardians, schools, sponsors, and community partners learning about Caribbean Code.
Do students need coding experience?
No prior coding experience is required. The Caribbean Code curriculum is beginner-friendly and starts with core Python and problem-solving foundations.
Is the program free?
The program is currently offered at no cost to students. Caribbean Code is still developing the initiative, so this should not be read as a permanent guarantee for every future version of the program.
When do live lessons start?
The first live lesson is planned for July 7 from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM. Students should check the Live Lessons page for the latest schedule details and updates.

Attendance is recommended but not strictly required to take the certification. Students should still keep up with lessons, quizzes, coding practice, and required practice tests.
What happens if a student misses a lesson?
Students can review published live lesson recordings and Gemini notes on the Live Lessons page, then continue lessons, quizzes, coding practice, and progress tracking on the website.

The program is focused on preparing students for an entry-level programming certification, including PCEP - Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer preparation. Caribbean Code does not claim that every student will pass.
How do students qualify for an exam voucher?
Students must complete required practice work, including required quizzes and practice tests, before receiving a certification exam voucher. Live lesson attendance is recommended, but voucher eligibility depends on completing the required practice work.
Can another school partner with Caribbean Code?
Yes. Caribbean Code is interested in working with additional Jamaican schools that want to share structured computer science learning opportunities with students.

What should parents or guardians know?
Caribbean Code is designed for high-school students, and prior coding experience is not required. Live lessons are planned for 6:00 PM-7:00 PM, with the first live lesson planned for July 7.
